Denis Calnan has worked in video, radio and print. He is currently the Associate Producer/Technician and a Reporter for Labrador Morning on CBC Radio One.

Denis completed his first documentary video, Chigger Yellem, (no problem), in 2006 after returning from Debre Sina, Ethiopia. See the video at the "video doc" link above.

Driven by this success and his passion for news and CBC Radio One he applied to Journalism school at King's College, where he is currently finishing his degree.

Denis interned with CBC Radio's The House, a weekly political current affairs show in Ottawa. Denis was an Associate Producer and enjoyed learning the complexities of radio and politics from the staff at The House.

As a student he has produced, hosted, edited and reported for CKDU News and The Radio Room. Some of the audio files for this show can be heard at this link.

In addition to working at CBC he does freelance magazine work.
